I have so much to share with you all and very excited about all the hot, peppery food news, happenings and products out in the market today. It’s great seeing all the TV programs and cooking shows featuring spicy foods and foods from different cultures around the world. This chile peppers exposure helps others get inspired to cook more spicy foods. People are learning more about pepper varieties and how to use them in foods and shows on the Food Network, for example, have a lot to do with it.
I also love that we’re learning more about the health benefits of chile peppers as more naturalist and doctors are sharing this information. Many say consuming spicy foods improves circulation, regulates body temperature and that it helps clear colds and I think they’re on to something. I am no expert but all I know is that I feel better after eating spicy foods and work up a sweat and that is definitely a good thing.
Just five years ago it was so difficult finding foods or products that uniquely infused chile peppers in new and interesting ways. Spicy food lovers have been using chile peppers since the beginning of time but what we’re seeing now is different. We’re seeing more unique and interesting products that are readily available. Products such as spicy chocolates, chile pepper infused vodka, spicy candy and syrups, and even in baked goods like cup cakes.
